SHFPACT offers a holistic, confidential and respectful service to Canberra and the region. SHFPACT doctors and nurses have special sexual & reproductive health qualifications and they approach all matters sensitively, and there is a choice of female or male doctor.
Services include:
- Contraceptive advice, information & services,
- STIs (Sexually Transmissible Infections) testing, treatment and advice,
- Emergency contraception (the 'Morning After' Pill),
- Breast checks and awareness education,
- Pap smears and HPV vaccine,
- Fertility issues and pre-conception advice,
- Unplanned pregnancy counselling (unbiased and respectful),
- Sexual difficulties and sexuality education,
- Menopause and more.
Fees and charges apply and are payable at the time of consultation. Concession rates are available to young people 18 years or younger, full-time students 21 years or younger, and Centrelink Healthcare/ Pensioner/ Concession card holders.
Please bring your Medicare card with you; as you may be able to claim Medicare rebates for services received at the SHFPACT Clinic. Please enquire about our fees and charges at the time of making your booking. Wednesday evening clinics are also available.
SHFPACT's Clinic is fully wheelchair accessible, and our clinicians work closely with SHFPACT's Disability Educators to facilitate access to sexual and reproductive health services for people with disabilities, including mobility, physical and intellectual disabilities.
