Family support workers provide a home based service which is designed to help parents develop the skills they need to adequately care for their children. Aims to promote parent's understanding of child development, behaviour management, budgeting and household organisation. Provides opportunities for involvement in groups which suppport the development of self esteem, communication and social skills, and provides links with appropriate community resources.
