Services for older persons who have developed a mental illness, or who have a mental health problem complicated by age related issues, include assessment, treatment, liaison with other agencies, medication advice, advice with placement in residential facilities, support for families and carers.: EntryProcedures Eligibility - People 65 and over, and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people 45 and over, who have developed a mental illness or who have a mental health problem complicated by age related issues. Please ring for more information, a Duty Worker will respond and triage your call. Staff include psychiatrists, community mental health nurses, psychologists, social workers, occupational therapists, physiotherapists and medical officers.: WaitingListDetails Average wait is 7-10 days for assessment. Services include consultation, liaison and advice for clients and specialist mental health education packages for community programs. Assessments are usually conducted in the client's place of residence. Following assessment, a multi-disciplinary team will monitor the implementation of the recommendations for a short time.
