Council provides this service for residents of the Macedon Ranges Shire. The cost of hiring a baby capsule is $60.00 (inclusive of GST) plus a $20.00 deposit, refundable when the capsule and attachments are returned. The total amount of $80.00 is payable at the time the baby capsule is collected.
Capsules are hired for a period of six months, however this can be extended if the baby is not ready to use a carseat. There is a small additional fee charged for extensions to the hire period.
The baby capsules are manufactured by 'Safe-n-Sound', Britax and comply with the Australian / New Zealand Safety Standards. They are issued complete with harness, bolt, strap and instruction booklet.
Please note that as there is only a limited number of baby capsules available, it is necessary to book as early in the pregnancy as possible.
