The Medical Imaging Department, formerly X-ray Department, is located near the Urgent Care Centre.
-- General Ultrasound examinations are available five days per week including abdominal, pelvic, renal and small parts.
-- Most musculo-skeletal examinations are also available.
-- Echocardiography and Vascular examinations are provided on a fortnightly basis.
-- General Radiography is available five days per week. A weekend service also operates as required.
-- A dental unit, OPG, has been installed and is fully operational. This allows the Dentist/ Doctor to visualise all the teeth in one image.
The department also provides regular access to a radiologist consult and 24 hour on-call radiography.
Appointments are necessary for all examinations but emergency/urgent examinations will be attended to as soon as possible. Please phone the department for appointments.
