PapScreen Victoria is the Victorian Cervical Screening Program. It is a joint Commonwealth-State funded program coordinated by the Department of Human Services. The Cancer Council Victoria is contracted to develop and implement Victoria's cervical screening communications and recruitment strategy.
PapScreen Victoria works in collaboration with its partners, the Victorian Cytology Service and the Victorian Cervical Cytology Registry to effect change across Victoria.

Aims
Goals and objectives
The continuing goals of PapScreen Victoria are to:
-- Decrease the incidence of cervical cancer among unscreened and under-screened Victorian women.
-- Decrease mortality rates from cervical cancer among Victorian women, particularly those who have not been regularly screened.
Specifically, the objective of the Communications and Recruitment Strategy is to increase the proportion of women screened within a two-year period by:
-- Encouraging previously unscreened and under-screened women into the program.
-- Maintaining the high levels of two-yearly screening among currently-screened women. src
