Michael is accredited with Occupational Therapy Australia and Australian Health Professional Regulation Agency (AHPRA). As a qualified Occupational Therapist, I prefer the holistic approach to healthcare and rehabilitation. I have a strong appreciation and connection for the elderly as I recognise their life experiences and wisdom. I have a Bachelor of Applied Science in Occupational Therapy, Certificate IV in Mental health, Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, Certificate III in Aged Care and Certificate III in Disability. With these qualifications and regular interactions with clients with a range of disabilities in my employment, I understand the barriers to participation as well as the interventions to promote independence and a sense of agency. I approach problems and concerns holistically utilising my knowledge and experience of medical conditions and best-practice models. This is achieved by harnessing the client's abilities and encouraging participation in activities of daily living. Harnessing my skills and passion for helping others in a social and friendly context, I will tailor the care required to the individual considering their personal and medical needs. I am also an Arabic speaking therapist.
