Mildura Base Hospital has a Domiciliary Midwifery Service which is offered to all new mothers to assist with the transition from hospital to home.
Services offered include:
-- Free home visit
-- Post-natal check for mother and baby
-- Weighing of the baby
-- Newborn screening test
-- Assistance with advice/support of mother's choice of infant feeding
For women who live in the Robinvale or Ouyen region, a domiciliary midwife is available who will be in contact after the woman is discharged home to arrange a visit.
