Uniting Communities' Take Five service provides support for both people with disabilities and their families to access recreational activities, develop social networks, and learn independent living skills. The level of support required will be individually assessed. Some needs require high level personal care, where others may benefit from social group activities. Home and Community Care (HACC) funds Take Five to provide respite for people who meet the eligibility criteria and this service is free of charge. Individuals can also purchase support from Take Five privately, with compensation payments or through other Government funding.
