Held every Thursday. Dementia Centre Based
Day Care provides assistance to
clients with dementia to attend and
participate in especially designed
group activities to maintain and
improve their physical, social and
psychological well-being.
In addition, the program gives
carers a much needed break
(respite) from their caring role. The activities include:
Morning tea, hot lunches (culturally
appropriate meals), games and
crafts, outings, therapeutic activities,
activities based on individual needs,
lifestyles support workshops, health
and well-being development and
other lifestyle and leisure activities.
