Additional information
Cardiac Rehabilitation program provides information and support for people who have heart disease, heart attacks, and cardio vascular surgery. Information is provided on nutrition, exercise, risk factors and monitoring of client's health, medications, ambulance / emergency contacts and heartbeat.
Sessions are held Thursdays, weekly in the Physiotherapy Department, Building B, at Stawell Regional Health from 2.00-4.00pm.
The program is structured to adhere to the 'Guidelines for Cardiac Programs'.
Qualified hospital and community paramedical staff in the areas of allied health, pharmacy and nursing are involved. Also involved are Ambulance Officers and a representative from the Heartbeat Association.
