DadsWA- Through DadsWA, Ngala aims to engage men in early parenting by providing a 'male friendly' environment across all Ngala services. DadsWA is staffed by male workers and assists men to gain the skills needed for them to be fully involved in all aspects of parenting and fatherhood, encouraging them to build close, strong relationships with their children as loving, caring and active fathers. DadsWA@ngala.com.au. Parenting Workshops- Ngala provides parenting workshops for parents, grandparents and carers of children 0 to 6 years. Parents can come to gain knowledge, learn from other parents and share experiences. Workshops are facilitated by a qualified Ngala Educator. Workshops are Free but bookings are essential. School Workshops- Ngala can provide a presentation for parents during school orientation on specific topics that can be of short duration such as 30-40 minutes, as well as a full workshop. Consultations- Consultations are designed to be an early intervention strategy and seek to provide a quick response to requests for service where individualised strategies and information/education are required. Parenting issues such as sleep and settling, breast feeding and nutrition, play and development, toddler behaviour and toileting challenges can be discussed and explored. This service is suitable for parents with children aged from 0 to 6 years. Telephone or Centre Consultations can be scheduled at a time and place to suit the needs of families. Consultations are now also available via Webcam.
