Transitional Housing Services work to secure and sustain affordable long term housing for homeless people. This is achieved through Initial Assessment & Planning, Tenancy Administration and Family Violence Private Rental Brokerage Program
Initial Assessment & Planning (IAP) explores your current housing situation, together with options for secure affordable long term housing.
The IAP process seeks to resolve the immediate housing needs of homeless people in the first instance, and then put in place support and links that will assist in providing people the means to both secure and sustain long term housing.
This is a confidential and non-judgemental process.
The IAP Worker works with people to secure affordable long-term housing. The worker can assist with housing information and advice; referral to agencies for support; access to financial assistance to obtain or maintain housing; and assistance with access to transitional, public or private rental.
The Transitional Housing Program provides furnished,short-term housing for people experiencing homelessness. While in this housing people are expected to work towards a long term housing outcome, whether it be in private or public rental.

The program informs you of your rights and responsibilities to enable you to sustain a long term tenancy.
The Tenancy Administrator manages transitional housing tenancies and can assist with tenancy sign-up; rental payments; property maintenance and repairs; furnishing the property; information on sustaining your housing and a rental reference at the end of the tenancy.
