When you visit the Centre for an abortion, you will see a health worker and a doctor prior to the operation. Nurses are responsible for your post operative care, or post medical abortion follow up. If requested, arrangements can be made to see a counsellor.

When you phone the Pregnancy Advisory Centre you will be given the most appropriate appointment to meet your needs. Services are provided over 2 appointments. The first is a clinic consultation where information about the procedure will be given. A second appointment for the abortion procedure will be made during the consultation.
During the clinic consultation a health worker will speak with you to talk with you about your decision, explain the procedure, explain the possible risks of abortion, provide you with information for your care after the procedure, answer any questions you may have and Provide you with information about contraception, if required.
