Stomal Therapy covers all aspects of care for ileostomy, colostomy or urostomy. We see all preoperative patients undergoing surgery which may result in a formation of stoma for education and counselling. We also see inpatients with a stoma, provide ongoing education, counselling and review.

We see patients living in the area who are:
- referred by their Colorectal surgeon before they have surgery
- experiencing issues with their stoma. 

The Sutherland Hospital - Stoma Clinic

Stomal Therapy  is a specialised nursing service. It treats and counsels people before and after surgery that results in a temporary or permanent stoma.
