Provides a comprehensive range of pathology testing for doctors and their patients. Please note some common tests that require an appointment include Glucose Tolerance Test (GTT), Helicobacter Breath Test (HBT), Holter Monitors (HM) and 24 Hour Blood Pressure (BP). Laverty Pathology Kambah - Jenke Circuit

When attending the Canberra Hospital collection centre, patients must bring a pathology request form from their treating practitioner. Patients should also bring their Medicare card to enable bulk-billing for most tests. The Canberra Hospital centre operates on a drop-in basis, however tests such as Glucose Tolerance Test (GTT), do require an appointment. This can be done online at www.health.act.gov.au/actpathology. ECG Service require an appointment made prior by phoning the collection centre.

ACT Pathology Collection Centre - Canberra Hospital

ACT Pathology provides a home collection service ONLY for those patients who are aged and frail and unable to attend one of our collection centres. Our staff will call on patients in their homes or nursing homes to take blood for pathology testing.  To arrange a collection at home please phone at least 24 hours before collection is required on (02) 6244 2816.

ACT Pathology Home Visit Service - Canberra Hospital

Pathology testing is available across all medical specialties and covers Anatomical Pathology, Cytology, Biochemistry, Toxicology, Serology, Haematology, Immunology, Microbiology, and Molecular Biology. Laboratories are staffed by experienced Medical Scientists and support staff, and operate under Pathologist supervision. All Laverty Pathology Laboratories are fully NATA/RCPA accredited and recognised.
