GROW - NSW

MyTime peer support groups are for anyone caring for a child with a disability or chronic medical condition ages 0-16years of age. This is a government funded service and is free to eligible families.

Merrylands MyTime

The Transcultural Mental Health Centre's Carer Support Program facilitates a number of language-specific carer support groups for families and carers from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds, who live with or care for a family member or friend with a mental health problem. Some of these mental health problems are severe depression, eating disorder, anxiety disorder, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia and all childhood disorders. The support groups offer information, support and educational activities to carers who are from different cultural and linguistic backgrounds. The groups meet on a monthly basis in different suburbs across the Sydney metropolitan areas. Languages available: Arabic, Assyrian, Cantonese, Dari/Farsi, Khmer, Macedonian & Serbian, Mandarin, Spanish and Vietnamese. Please call for more information about meeting times and locations.

Christian Community Aid - Aged Services

Living Beyond Abuse is a support group for women who have experienced domestic violence. Being a part of the group allows women to meet others in similar situations, support each other, improve self esteem, reduce self blame and explore available options for deciding the future. Cost: Free service Course: 2.5 hours for nine weeks
