Our first priority is to treat patients with life or limb threatening illness or injuries, and these patients are attended urgently on arrival. On arrival to the Emergency Service, you will see a specialist emergency triage nurse to assess and determine the severity of your medical condition. The Ashford Emergency Service is predominantly an Adult Emergency Service to treat people who present for medical assistance.

The private Emergency Service has been established to provide assessment of patients with acute medical and surgical conditions who require an acute injury service, have a local doctor or specialist referral or have been a recent inpatient at the hospital only.
