This service connects women to their closest public maternity service where first antenatal appointments can be booked and staff will discuss suitable birthing options. It is expected to eventually expand to include all intropartum, postnatal, neonatal, termination of pregnancy and lactation advice. Open 24 hours. 1300 MBABIES was the first national 24-hour telephone help line dedicated to assisting families of premature or sick newborns. This valuable service was established to offer national support to parents and family members who currently has or has had a baby in a Newborn Intensive Care Unit. Miracle Babies Foundation

Free Australian Government-funded medicine information service staffed by registered pharmacists.

Pharmacists are available by telephone (1300 633 424) to answer consumer questions about medicines, complementary medicines and vaccines. 

Can also discuss side effects and help consumers report adverse reactions to medicines and vaccines by submitting reports to the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA).

The service is closed on NSW public holidays.
