WCH Speech Pathologists work in the areas of  speech, language, fluency, voice, feeding.  Speech Pathologists work with other allied health staff, other hospital staff and with community agencies and others involved in the care of children. 

Only children with specific medical conditions are eligible to use the WCH speech therapy services. Eligibility also depends on where you live. Children being treated by the WCH for a medical condition are also eligible for Speech Pathology at the WCH. For other children, the WCH complements the services provided by community health centres and the Department of Education and Children's Services. Written referrals are accepted from WCH doctors, private paediatricians and general practitioners. Outpatients often attend weekly therapy sessions.

Women's and Children's Hospital

CEDAS is a private service providing assessments, differential diagnoses and intervention for children with develomental problems, including autism spectrum disorders, global developmental delay (ID), communication impairments and learning disabilities.

CEDAS- Children's Early Developmental Assessment Service

Provides comprehensive evaluation and management for adults with swallowing and/or communication disorders (including voice and cognition).

Royal Adelaide Hospital - Speech Pathology Clinic

Speech pathology for adults and children with voice, chronic cough, asthma and voice problems, speech, swallowing, acquired language disorders (eg post stroke). Voice safety promotion, injury prevention programs and workshops available for professional voice users eg teachers, call centre operators, aerobics instructors, choirs, coaches. Visits school and aged care facilities.
