We work in partnership with Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander women and their families and recognise and respect the experience, knowledge and skills each woman brings to her pregnancy, birth and mothering.

We acknowledge each womans right to take responsibility for decisions involving herself, her baby and her family.

The Koori midwife is available to provide Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women with individual care and support. The Koori midwife will provide continuity of care during pregnancy, labour & birth and up to 6 weeks into the postnatal period.
Referrals are accepted from: 
•    the client 
•    a family member
•    any hospital or community carer

The Aboriginal Care Coordination program is targeted to Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander people who have a chronic health condition

cohealth - Braybrook

Provides support to patients and families with Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Peoples backgrounds. An Aboriginal Service Development Worker works alongside hospital staff to help improve the care and support plans for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Peoples patients while in hospital.

Eligibility: Any Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander person with a diagnosed long-term (at least 6 months) health condition.

Aboriginal Health Workers can assist you to maintain your independence at home and in the community.
