Most nursing care can be provided in home including care which has traditionally only been available in the hospital environment. Our nurses liaise with the client, their family and other health providers to develop a comprehensive care plan which will ensure that the individual's health and care needs are met. 

Our services are provided irrespective of age, race, religion, presenting illness or social and economic status. The only criteria we have are that a person has a genuine need for care and that their needs are able to be met by the services we can provide.

Macedon Ranges Health

The District Nursing Gisborne provides domiciliary nursing care 7 days a week.  The care provided includes:hygiene assessment, general nursing care, wound management, technical care, diabetes education, continence management, holistic assessment, stomal therapy, assistance with medications, aged care and HIV Support.

The RM is available to take calls after the office has closed.

The day medical service operates 3 days per week. Procedures conducted at Craigieburn Health Service include trial of void, change of catheter, blood transfusions and infusions.

Craigieburn Health Service

Visiting nurses are able to offer wound care, diabetic care, injections, oxygen therapy, collection of pathology specimens, catheterisation, administration of medications, monitoring of health status and some more complex personal care to clients in their own homes. Area covered includes Bacchus Marsh and Melton and surrounding areas.

Melton Health & Community Services

A range of health education services are provided including:
Women's Health, Men's Health, Needle and Syringe program, Refugee Health and Sexual and Reproductive health education (i.e. School Sex Education program). Pap smears are available by appointment.
