BrainTrack is an award-winning, free app developed by Dementia Australia that helps people to explore their brain health, and privately monitor and understand changes in cognition over time. Users are prompted each month to play a set of fun, travel-themed games which focus on specific cognitive domains and are adapted from validated cognitive testing. A report of results can be downloaded, and if a person has concerns, these results can be shared with their GP or healthcare professional as a conversation starter about brain health, and where needed, support an earlier dementia diagnosis.
While not intended to replace a formal cognitive assessment, BrainTrack supports the early identification of cognitive changes over time that may warrant further testing. Having a conversation with a GP or healthcare professional when a person first has concerns about changes to their cognition may lead to an earlier diagnosis, enabling access to early support and intervention, and leading to better outcomes.
The BrainTrack app is free and can be downloaded from the BrainTrack app - Apple App Store and BrainTrack app - Google Play Store.
