What this medicine is used for

Bowel emptying and cleansing by means of total gastrointestinal tract perfusion in preparation for gastrointestinal examination (such as colonoscopy, barium enema x-ray examinations), prior to intravenous pyelograms (IVP) or colorectal surgery.
