What this medicine is used for

(ARTG)

Parenteral administration of Bactrim is indicated where oral dosage is not desirable or practical, e.g. pre- and post-operative infections associated with surgery, trauma or gynaecology; septicaemia and other infections due to sensitive organisms such as typhoid and paratyphoid.

How to use this medicine

(ARTG)

This medicine contains one component only.

Component :

  • Injection, concentrated
  • Intravenous Infusion
  • The concentrate solution is clear and colourless to slightly yellowish.

Storage conditions

  • Store below 30 degrees Celsius
  • Shelf lifetime is 5 Years.

These medicine packs are available from a pharmacist and requires a prescription. It is Schedule 4 : Prescription Only Medicine.

  • Each pack contains 10 x 5mL ampoules pack
