What this medicine is used for

(ARTG)

Dengvaxia is indicated for the prevention of dengue disease caused by dengue virus serotypes 1, 2, 3 and 4 in individuals 9 through 45 years of age living in endemic areas. Use should be in accordance with official guidelines (see DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION).

How to use this medicine

This medicine is a pack that contains more than one component.

Component :

  • Suspension, powder for
  • Subcutaneous
  • Freeze-dried powder in vial (Type I class) with a stopper (halobutyl) and a flip-off cap (aluminium, polypropylene)

Component :

  • Diluent, not applicable
  • Subcutaneous
  • 0.5 mL of diluent in a pre-filled syringe (Type I glass) with a plunger stopper (halobutyl) and a tip cap (elastomer)

Storage conditions

  • Store at 2 to 8 degrees Celsius
  • Protect from Light
  • Do not Freeze
  • Refrigerate
  • Shelf lifetime is 36 Months.
