Established in 1985, their early years were defined by community coming together to respond to the HIV/ AIDS epidemic in NSW, and they remain committed to ending HIV for everyone in their communities. They do this by delivering campaigns and programs to eliminate new HIV transmissions. Supporting people living with HIV to live healthy and connected lives remains core to ACON's work.

ACON help LGBTQ communities take control of their health so they can look after themselves as well as their partners, family and friends. They offer a range of services including sexual health, mental health, alcohol and other drugs, safety and inclusion, domestic and family violence and ageing.
