CarerHelp

CarerHelp has been built by the Australian Family Carer Toolkit Project. This project is funded by the Australian Government Department of Health.

Caring for someone at the end of their life is a very important role. People who do this help the person they care for and that person’s family and friends.

Vision and mission

CarerHelp aims to empower carers who provide care to someone with a terminal illness. The CarerHelp website provides resources to support carers through:

  • access to high quality information and resources that support them in the carer role
  • nowledge of the services available to carers
  • an understanding of what to expect when someone is dying
  • a greater sense of control over their role
  • better communication with the health care team, family and friends
  • information and resources around maintaining wellbeing

How CarerHelp can help

CarerHelp provides access to useful and trustworthy information, tools, articles and videos. These resources can help carers of those with palliative care needs understand what to expect, improve communication and support their own well being.
