Diabetes is the epidemic of the 21st century and the biggest challenge confronting Australia’s health system. There are 2 million Australians living with diagnosed and undiagnosed diabetes and it costs the Australian economy $17.6 billion each year.
Diabetes Australia is a respected and valued source of information, advice and views utilised by government and the community. It works with people living with, or at risk of diabetes, their families and carers, health professionals, researchers, funders, other diabetes organisations and the community to positively change people’s lives.
Diabetes Australia collaborate with state and territory diabetes organisations and assist with the administration of the National Diabetes Services Scheme (NDSS).
